The Orient Star SDK02002F is a very special watch. To start, the watch itself. It's an Orient Star, so the case, movement and finishing are superb. The movement, the Orient in-house 40S62, hacks, can be hand wound and has a small second hand at 6 o'clock and an 'open heart' at 9. Through this opening in the dial you can view the running automatic movement. The case has nice flowing lines and contrasts of polished/brushed surfaces.
The watch is by no means small with it's diameter of 44mm (excluding crown), however it's very comfortable and doesn't wear big.

Then onto the strap. This watch has the tag 'Somes' in the model name. Somes is a high end Japanese company specialised in leather products, primarily for the equestrian industry. For a while now they have been making leather straps for a select few Orient models. All straps are made from bridle leather and completely by hand. The strap on this watch is 4mm thick, has been carefully tanned and coated in wax.

Both the strap as the watch are exceptional and definitely worth it.

  2 year warranty

  We offer a 2 year warranty on all watches. This covers all mechanical malfunction arising from parts failure and/or assembly errors. Excluded are parts that by their nature may not last 2 years, like batteries and leather straps, damage/problems caused by improper use and wear and tear. We stand behind the brands that we sell and the quality that they offer.
  Some of our brands also offer an international warranty, which will also apply.

  Service and parts

  In the unfortunate event of a problem with your watch, you simply need to send it to us (or take it to another dealer if the brand offers an international warranty). We have access to the official service centers, where only original parts are used and the watchmakers are qualified and experienced with your type of watch. Not every watch movement is the same, so it's best if it's handled by people who know what they are doing.
  After your 2 years warranty has expired we are able to offer service in most cases.
